We operate container depots providing a full range of services for importers, exporters, and shipping lines. We handle structural surveys, controlled release, repairs, and sales of new and used units – wherever your operation requires.
Overview
Transam offers supply chain solutions that connect people, products, and places. By integrating sea and airfreight services with trucking, customs brokerage, warehousing, documentation, and more, we deliver seamless and custom-tailored end-to-end logistics.
We understand depots firsthand, so we know the standards required – if it’s us operating the facility or through a trusted partner.
Survey, repair, storage, release, and sales, all handled from our depots. You’re not coordinating between multiple providers for different parts of the process.
Dry, reefer, open top, flat rack, and high cube units. Whether you need a standard 20-foot box or a specialised unit for awkward cargo, we’ll find an option for you.
Options
A range of different container types to suit different cargo, handling and transport requirements.
The standard workhorse, 20-ft and 40-ft dry containers for general cargo. Available used, in good working condition.
Refrigerated containers for temperature-sensitive cargo, food, pharmaceuticals, and other perishables. We can advise on specifications and suitable units for your needs.
High cube units offer extra height for voluminous or palletised cargo. Popular with businesses that need additional capacity for bulky goods.
For cargo that can’t be loaded through the doors, machinery, oversized goods, and heavy lifts. Open top units are loaded from above with a crane or forklift.
Used for heavy or outsized cargo that won’t fit in a standard box, vehicles, large equipment, and structural components.
Container services and practical support that keeps equipment in service and moving efficiently.
01
We manage the controlled release of containers from the depot in compliance with shipping line instructions and port requirements. Documentation is handled correctly and release is coordinated efficiently.
02
Before a container enters service or changes hands, a structural survey confirms it’s fit for purpose. Our team conducts or sources thorough surveys which provide clear, documented reports.
03
Damage, door seal replacements, flooring repairs, and rust treatment are all handled by our depot team to get containers compliant with required standards and back into service quickly.
04
We sell used containers in a range of sizes and configurations. Whether you need a single unit for your export operation or a fleet of boxes, we’ll find what you need and quote you honestly.
05
Short-term and long-term container storage at our depots. Containers are tracked, accessed on request, and managed through our system.
A structural survey assesses the integrity of the container’s walls, floor, roof, door seals, and locking mechanisms. The container is checked for damage, corrosion, structure, and anything that would compromise its fitness for use in a commercial freight or storage context.
Yes. We can coordinate container positioning to your required location. Talk to us about your operational requirements and we’ll confirm what’s feasible and quote accordingly.
