From urgent deliveries to complex logistics, we move your cargo safely and on schedule – anywhere in the world.
Key Highlights
From seafreight and airfreight to customs, warehousing, and last-mile delivery, every service is managed.
Our international network spans the Pacific Islands, Asia, North America, and Europe, anchored by specialists who know the local regulations, routes, and relationships that make the difference.
CargoWise gives you real-time visibility across your entire supply chain, from booking to delivery, with the data transparency to make faster, smarter decisions.

Good logistics doesn’t run on systems alone. It runs on people who care. Every client works with a dedicated point of contact who knows their freight, their timelines, and their business. When something needs solving, you’re talking to someone who already knows the answer.
We own ships, trucks, warehouses, and container depots – with a balance of owned infrastructure and agent coverage beyond. That means fewer intermediaries, more control, and lower costs for you. Wherever your freight moves, we have the operational capability to match.

We handle your entire supply chain, across modes, borders, and time zones. Less admin. Fewer mistakes. And we hold ourselves accountable from start to finish.
Our Values

Every decision we make starts with people: our clients, our team, and the communities we serve.

We bring genuine knowledge to every shipment, built over years of operating across complex international routes.

Supply chains don’t follow a script. We move quickly, adapt without fuss, and find solutions when the standard approach doesn’t fit.

We do what we say, and say what we mean. Trust is earned through consistent action, not promises.

We’re not a vendor. We’re an extension of your business. Your success is what drives ours.

Wherever you trade, we have the network, the infrastructure, and the people to make it work. Our reach is global – and so is our commitment.
Our people are what make us different. Every member of this team brings the same commitment to getting it right for the client. Meet the people behind your supply chain.

Our story is a story of people, relationships and trade across the Pacific.
It began in Apia in 1993, with six people and a joint venture between our local team, and what was then our third-party agent. We started as ‘Transport Air and Maritime’ – Transam – with a simple idea at our heart: strong local knowledge and trusted relationships are essential to keep trade moving.

From Samoa, we began to grow across the Pacific. Our next steps led to Tahiti, New Caledonia, and other island markets, where local relationships were already central to how freight moved.
Rather than replacing local partners and agents, we built on them – establishing Transam businesses in partnership with the people who already understood their markets, customers, and communities.
That model took shape as we continued to grow. Across our network, the local partners who joined us in those early years (or their children!) are still part of the business today.
As our network expanded, each market developed differently. In some countries, we grew through joint ventures with established local businesses.
In others, new operations were built from the ground up. The common thread was always local understanding: people on the ground who knew how trade worked in their market and could connect that knowledge into a wider Pacific network.
Fiji is a good example. We began there with just two people before growing significantly through PDL. Later, our acquisition of Williams & Gosling connected our business with logistics expertise whose history stretches back more than a century.
As our business grew, so did the services we could provide.
In markets such as Tonga and Samoa, we moved beyond freight forwarding into warehousing, trucking, stevedoring, and other on-the-ground logistics services. That vertical integration meant we could take responsibility for more of the journey and solve more of the practical problems that arise between port, warehouse, and final destination.
Over time, our network became more connected, combining international freight forwarding with local infrastructure, shipping relationships, and specialist island capability.
We created Transam New Zealand to act as the agent for Neptune Pacific, strengthening the connection between New Zealand and the wider Pacific network.
As our group evolved, a number of legacy businesses and brands came together under the Transam name, creating a clearer, more connected logistics network across the region. In 2025, we acquired Davies International, a New Zealand-based freight forwarder, bringing in more local experts and capability to continue to build our base beyond our island nation origins.
Our network may have grown, but the way we work has stayed remarkably consistent: build strong local relationships, understand the market, bring the right people together, and find a practical way to keep trade moving.
Today, we connect businesses across the Pacific through a combination of freight forwarding, shipping, local logistics operations, agency services, and long-standing partnerships.
What began with six people in Apia has grown into a much wider network – but it is still powered by people who know their markets, know their customers, and know how to work together to find the right solution.
