Overview

Why Choose Us?

Transam offers supply chain solutions that connect people, products, and places. By integrating sea and airfreight services with trucking, customs brokerage, warehousing, documentation, and more, we deliver seamless and custom-tailored end-to-end logistics.

Volume or Weight Flexibility

From a single pallet to multiple full containers, we scale the service to your cargo. No minimum volumes, no wasted space, no paying for what you don’t need.

Cargo Versatility

Dry goods, personal effects, temperature-sensitive products, and mixed commodities, we handle a wide range of cargo types across both LCL and FCL formats.

Improved Sustainability

Consolidating cargo reduces the number of consignments needed to move the same volume of goods. Fewer departures, lower emissions, better outcomes for everyone.

Service Options

Choose from premium integrated services or flexible regular scheduled services, matched to your timeline and budget.

Premium

Faster transit, priority loading, and tightly integrated documentation and customs support. Best for importers and exporters with time-sensitive or high-value cargo.

Regular

Flexible scheduling on regular departure cycles, a cost-effective option for cargo that doesn’t need priority treatment. Reliable service without the premium price tag.

Types of

Service

We work with all container and cargo formats, so your shipment is always matched to the most efficient option.

LCL

01

Share container space with other shippers and pay only for the cubic metres your cargo occupies. Ideal for smaller consignments that don’t require a full box.

FCL

02

Your cargo fills the container, no co-loading, no sharing. FCL gives you greater cargo security and is typically more economical at higher volumes.

Consolidation

03

We group compatible cargo from multiple shippers into a single consignment, reducing the per-unit cost of freight. Great for importers and exporters with regular, smaller volumes – wherever they trade.

Personal Effects

04

Moving house internationally or relocating staff? We handle the shipping of personal effects with care, proper documentation, and customs guidance at the destination.

FAQs

01

What’s the difference between LCL and FCL?

LCL (Less than Container Load) means your cargo shares a container with other shippers, and you pay only for the space your goods occupy. FCL (Full Container Load) means you book the whole container for your cargo alone. FCL is generally more cost-effective once your volume exceeds roughly 15–18 cubic metres, and it offers greater cargo security. We can help you calculate which option makes more sense for your specific shipment.

02

How does cargo consolidation work?

Consolidation involves grouping smaller shipments from multiple exporters or importers into a single container at a shared facility. Your cargo is loaded, separated, and secured with other compatible consignments, then deconsolidated at destination and delivered individually. It’s an efficient way to reduce freight costs without compromising on safety or timelines.

03

When should I use FCL instead of LCL?

FCL is usually the better choice when you have a large volume (15 CBM or more), when cargo security is a priority, or when you’re shipping goods that are sensitive to co-loading risks such as odour transfer or contamination. It also simplifies customs clearance since your container holds only your goods. Our team can assess your cargo and run a cost comparison for you.

04

Can I ship personal effects as LCL?

Yes. We regularly ship personal effects, household goods, clothing, and furniture as LCL consignments for people relocating internationally. We handle the customs documentation and biosecurity requirements at destination, and we’ll advise you on any restricted or regulated items before packing.
